A Permanent opportunity for a General Surgeon specializing in Hand Surgery (MD/DO) is available in Saginaw, Michigan. This is an excellent position for a skilled hand surgeon seeking long-term employment with a supportive healthcare environment.
Position Details:
Role: General Surgery – Hand Surgery (MD/DO)
Location: Saginaw, Michigan
Job Type: Permanent
Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard workweek with flexible on-call requirements
Call: General ortho call responsibility of approximately 4 calls per month
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of hand and upper extremity surgeries, including trauma, reconstructive, and elective procedures
Provide comprehensive care for patients with hand, wrist, and forearm disorders, both surgical and non-surgical
Collaborate with the orthopedic team and other specialists to ensure effective care
Participate in on-call rotations to manage trauma cases
Provide patient education on post-operative care, recovery, and prevention of injuries
Document and maintain detailed medical records for patient care and compliance with health regulations
Qualifications:
MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in General Surgery, with a focus on Hand Surgery
Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
Experience in hand surgery with a focus on trauma, reconstruction, and elective procedures
ACLS/BLS certifications
Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
