We are seeking a dedicated General Surgery Physician for a locum tenens assignment. This position offers a balanced mix of clinical hours, call coverage, and procedural time in the endoscopy suite and operating room. Providers must be experienced in breast surgery and general endoscopy procedures.

This role is ideal for a board-certified physician who is passionate about providing exceptional care and is available for a long-term, four-month commitment.

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Perform endoscopy suite procedures, including upper and lower GI endoscopies.
  • Conduct surgeries such as breast surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty.
  • Participate in scheduled on-call rotations with 20-minute response time for emergency consultations.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure high-quality care.

Job Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient care.
Perform endoscopy suite procedures, including upper and lower GI endoscopies.
Conduct surgeries such as breast surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty.
Participate in scheduled on-call rotations with 20-minute response time for emergency consultations.

Qualifications

Board Certification in General Surgery (required).
Active Washington State Medical License or eligibility via IMLC.
Fellowship training preferred but not required.
Experience in breast surgery and endoscopic procedures is mandatory.
Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Working Hours

Scheduled clinical hours with additional on-call responsibilities.
On-call response time: 20 minutes.

Skills

Expertise in laparoscopic and general surgeries (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.).
Endoscopic proficiency (upper and lower GI endoscopies).
Ability to manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, and central line placements.
Familiarity with the Epic EMR system.
