General Surgery Opportunity in Indiana Located in *Elkhart, IN - South Bend 45m Full-Time; Permanent Position Highlights Primary Location: - Based at a Level III Trauma Center, with office space located on campus. - Work alongside a highly skilled team with a da Vinci Xi system and Fixed Hybrid ORs for advanced surgical procedures. Clinical Scope: - Provide general surgery services supported by a strong referral network of primary care and subspecialty providers. - ER call schedule includes approximately 6-7 shifts per month, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Teaching Opportunities: - Collaborate with Indiana University School of Medicine at Notre Dame and the Family Medicine Residency Program, involving medical student education and supervision of post-graduate trainees. Hospital System Features: - Hospital: 365-bed acute care facility recognized for advanced certifications and quality care. - Memorial Hospital: 737-bed facility with more than 600 physicians on staff and specialized services, including: - Memorial MedFlight. - Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center. - Blue Distinction Center+ for Maternity Care. - Memorial Regional Breast Care Center and Cancer Center. - Da Vinci Robotic Surgery and Hybrid Operating Suites. Qualifications Education: - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Training: - Completion of a General Surgery Residency program. Certification: - Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery. Licensure: - Eligibility for Indiana medical licensure.
