Seeking a highly skilled and specialized Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in Hand and Upper Extremities to join our esteemed medical team. As an Orthopedic Surgeon at our practice, you will focus on providing exceptional care and surgical interventions for patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, for individuals with hand and upper extremity concerns.
- Utilize your specialized knowledge to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions affecting the hand and upper extremities, such as fractures, joint issues, and soft tissue injuries.
- Perform surgical procedures to address hand and upper extremity conditions, using the latest techniques and technologies to optimize patient outcomes.
- Dedicate 2 days to patient clinic appointments, offering expert consultations, treatment recommendations, and pre- and post-operative care.
- Allocate 2 days to surgical procedures in the operating room, demonstrating precision and expertise in hand and upper extremity surgery.
- Demonstrate clear and empathetic communication when explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and potential risks to patients and their families.
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date medical records and surgical documentation.
- Opportunity to participate in potential outreach to Alice Hyde Medical Center, ensuring comprehensive care for patients in satellite locations.
- Embrace flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient needs and the surgical calendar.

Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in New York (or ability to obtain).
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing hand and upper extremity conditions.
- Exceptional surgical skills and a commitment to patient safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to patient care and surgical scheduling.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems. Estimated pay range/amount is $600,000 - $650,000.
