SSM Health is searching for an Associate Medical Director of Ambulatory Surgery Center Perioperative Services. This position is allocated for .1 FTE as the associate medical director, with the remainder being clinical.

  • Reports to the Regional Perioperative Services Medical Director
  • Chairs and oversees ASC Medical Executive Committee
  • Responsible for credentialing of the ASCs for monthly new providers and reappointments, and when temporary privileges are needed
  • Double dyad partner to Perioperative Director to help oversee operations at Surgical Care Center, Digestive Health Center, Sun Prairie, Procedure Suites and any new surgical centers built by SSM in the Madison market
  • Accountable for First Case On-Time Starts (reviewing data and sending emails to surgeons who have late starts), block utilization and other perioperative KPIs at the ASCs
  • Attend and give input to Block Utilization committee (BUC) for ASC blocks
  • Attend the WI regional perioperative governance meetings as Madison ASC representative.
  • Work with the Regional Perioperative Medical Director and Mar Comm on Market strategy involving coordination of ASC and Hospital
