The Department of Surgery, Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University seeks to fill several academic surgeon positions in the Divisions of Abdominal. Currently, the Division performs liver transplantation, adult-to-adult living donor liver transplant, adult-to-pediatric living donor liver transplant, kidney transplantation, robotic and open hepatobiliary surgery, laparoscopic donor nephrectomies, and pediatric kidney and liver transplants. Experience in robotic renal transplant, machine perfusion or pediatric transplant is a plus. These faculty positions will be at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level (based on the candidate’s qualifications). The primary location for these positions will be at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, with the potential for a percentage of time dedicated to Nemours Children’s Hospital.
The successful candidate should have an MD or MD/PhD, and must be board eligible/certified in general surgery. Applicants are required to have completed a 2-year ASTS certified fellowship, fulfilled requirements for abdominal organ procurement certification, and have a Pennsylvania and/or Delaware State Medical License.
