Orthopedic Total Joint Surgeon needed in Southwest Florida!

The Musculoskeletal Institute at Lee Health, led by hand and wrist surgeon Dr. Thomas Hunt, seeks a fellowship trained, BE/BC Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon to join its dynamic, highly respected team as we expand our program to meet increasing regional demand. This new position is part of our health systems strategic priority to become a regional and national destination for clinical excellence in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and disorders. As one of three prioritized, strategic service lines,Lee Health is deeply committed to growing the Musculoskeletal Institute through extensive facility improvements and new builds, acquisition of additional cutting-edge equipment, and hiring of expert, fellowship-trained physicians and surgeons.
Position Information:
Candidates must have completed both an Orthopedic Surgery Residency and an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship. In additional to building their subspecialty practice, the incoming surgeon will be required to provide occasional general orthopedic call coverage at a Level 3 hospital.
The current orthopedic group, composed of 8 physicians (2 hand surgeons) and 7 APPs, is expanding to meet volume challenges and to cover additional hospital and outpatient locations within the region. Our new surgeons build subspecialty practice volume quickly due to a large referral base comprised of more than 200 primary care providers, 6 Emergency Departments, and 5 Convenient Care locations.
