We are currently seeking a skilled, passionate, and collegial Cerebrovascular / Endovascular / Cranial-Focused Neurosurgeon to join our expanding neurosurgery team in Carmichael/Sacramento, California.

Position Overview:
As a Cerebrovascular/ Cranial-Focused Neurosurgeon with Mercy Medical Group, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating complex neurological conditions affecting the brain and cerebrovascular system, ranging from aneurysms to brain tumors. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including neurology, neurocritical care, oncology, radiation oncology, to deliver comprehensive care to our patients. Successful candidates must be ABNS board-certified or eligible. The ideal candidate will have excellence in cranial neurosurgery and vascular/ endovascular surgery, with a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork. Mercy San Juan is a comprehensive stroke center, with a robust referral network for neurovascular and cranial diseases.

- Call frequency for general neurosurgery would be Q6-7, covering 1 hospital, 1 office location
- Strong trauma/ neurocritical care/ hospitalist team that admits all patients
- Comprehensive stroke center (the first in California)
- Endovascular-trained neurosurgeon would take Q3 endovascular call

Responsibilities

- Perform surgical procedures for cerebrovascular disorders, including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations
- Dual endovascular training is a plus, including aneurysm coiling, mechanical thrombectomy, MMA embolization, and embolization of vascular malformations
- Perform brain tumor and cranial surgeries


Qualifications

- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification, or board-eligible in Neurological Surgery.
- Fellowship training in cerebrovascular and cranial neurosurgery.
- Valid California medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork, collegial.


Pay Range
$377.44 - $399.51 /hour
