About this role:

As an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon part of the Musculoskeletal team at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you can expect to split time at Utah Valley Hospital and American Fork Hospital; seeing a mix of OR and in-office hand surgical cases.

The Musculoskeletal team at Utah Valley Hospital has 23 providers: 14 physicians and 9 APPs. Fellow physicians specialize in general orthopedics, orthopedic sports medicine, hand & elbow, foot & ankle, hip preservation, orthopedic trauma, and non-surgical sports medicine. Several providers in this group also make up the team at American Fork Hospital.

  • This position includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (if applicable)
  • You will split your practice between Utah Valley Hospital and American Fork Hospital in Provo and American Fork, Utah
  • You can anticipate 2 days per week in clinic and dedicated in-office and OR surgical time
  • Some patient-preferred hours will be required
  • Orthopedic Hand Call required; compensation offered for call requirement
  • Local ASC with potential to participate
  • Utah Valley team provides coverage for local Division 1 schools

An ideal candidate will have experience or interest in advancing in-office hand surgery and elbow surgery including both ligament and tendon repair/reconstruction as well as fracture care.

What you’ll bring:

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • ACGME accredited residency training in Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery
  • ABMS board CAQ (Certification of Additional Qualification) or eligibility in Orthopedic Hand Surgery
  • Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Hand Surgery
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • BLS certification and DEA
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • Expected starting period no later than Summer 2026

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$7.25 - $999.99
