Acute Care General Surgeon (No Trauma, No SICU)

Location: Hospital-Based Position

Position Type: Full-Time

Overview:

Due to rapid growth, we are excited to expand our surgical team with the addition of two full-time Acute Care General Surgeons! This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving practice where quality patient care is our number one priority and work-life balance is a close second. Youll be part of a dynamic environment, performing a variety of general and laparoscopic surgical cases, focusing on urgent care procedures. No trauma or SICU responsibilities, allowing you to focus on the work youre most passionate about.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general and laparoscopic procedures, including:
    • Gallbladder and bile duct surgery
    • Hernia repairs (umbilical, ventral/incisional, inguinal)
    • Appendectomy
    • Intestinal surgery for benign and malignant diseases
    • Colon and gastric surgery (benign and malignant)
    • Splenectomy (benign and malignant)
    • Anal-rectal surgery for emergencies
    • Robotic procedures, including hernia repairs and colon surgeries

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/board-eligible General Surgeon
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship preferred, but not required
  • Open to both experienced surgeons and new graduates
  • Interest in urgent surgical cases, rather than elective procedures

Schedule:

  • Combination of hospital and office-based work
  • Rotational on-call schedule
  • Flexible shifts based on clinical needs
