Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:
Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary, the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams, taking medical histories, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending a plan of treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide variety of general surgical procedures.
Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
Manage post-operative care, including monitoring recovery and follow-up care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families on surgical options, procedures, and recovery expectations.

Qualifications

Physician Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited medical school as an M.D./D.O.
Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.
Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O.
Board certification in General Surgery.
Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required.

Working Hours

Highlights:
This is a 100% outpatient care role, with full-time providers working 36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours.
You'll have the advantage of strong and well-established community relationships and excellent administrative support.
