Our Orthopaedic department is seeking a BE/BC Hand Surgeon to join our team! As an orthopaedic surgeon in our program, you will join 85 physicians, 90 advanced practitioners and 575 employees, providing comprehensive care for patients with orthopedic foot and ankle, hand and wrist, elbow and shoulder, hip and knee, sports medicine, trauma and cancer conditions. Through our affiliations, you will not only treat members of our communities but athletes from local high schools and clubs. Job Duties

Job Duties:

  • Approximately 4 days a week at State College Healthplex/ 1 day a week at GLH.
  • Established clinic at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital
  • An equitable distribution share in call in a general orthopaedic practice.

Geisinger Healthplex State College, located on 52 acres off the I-99 interchange in Patton Township. First opened in August of 2008 as a multi-specialty clinic. Currently undergoing a more than 14,000 sq. ft. clinic renovation expansion. The Healthplex will have 40 orthopaedic exam rooms and 2 dedicated x-ray suites. Our staff members focus on delivering the best quality of care to the members of Centre County.

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital (GLH) has been a part of the Geisinger family since 2013, providing high-quality, coordinated, patient-centered care for residents of Mifflin County and beyond. The hospital has been part of the Lewistown community for more than 100 years since first opening in 1908. GLH provides inpatient, outpatient, wellness and community services while employing over 1,000 full-time and part-time employees and providing a medical staff consisting of more than 150 physicians and allied health practitioners representing specialties ranging from family medicine, internal medicine, and cardiology to infectious disease and general/cardiovascular surgery.
