Comprehensive Level One Staffing is working with a hospital in Iowa that is looking for general surgery call coverage help while they recruit for a full time surgeon in their community. Founded by Dr. Anthony Maioriello, a fellowship trained endovascular neurosurgeon, and specialize in providing surgical staffing coverage to hospitals nationwide and are looking for general surgeons to join our team!
DETAILS:
Dates of Coverage: Looking for 1 to 2 weeks per month ongoing while we recruit for perm.
Schedule: 24 hours on call + callback + rounding
Call Schedule: 7a to 7a Friday to Friday
Call Ratio: The goal is 1 in 4 however when schedule you will be the only surgeon on call
Average Number of Trauma Surgical Cases Per Day: 1
Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2
Annual ER Volume: 25,000+
Percent of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital: 10
Number of ED Beds: 20+
Total Number of Beds: 180+
Documentation System/EMR: Cerner powerchart
Description of OR Staff: Fully staffed
Patient Age Demographic: Primarily adult-geriatric.
Reason for Coverage: 3 of the 5 general-trauma surgeons have left the community due to retirement/relocation.
COMPENSATION: Will discuss at time of interview
BENEFITS: Travel, housing, and malpractice insurance will be provided.
