Job Description

Start: Sept 2024-as soon as credentialed

Duration: 6+ months.

Setting: Inpatient

EMR: EPIC

Patients per Day: no outpatient clinic

Support Staff: MD & CRNA

Reason for Coverage: AGENCY BACKOUT

Required Procedures:

  • Abdominal
  • Stomach
  • Gallbladder
  • Appendix
  • Hernia
  • Colon
  • Laparoscopy
  • Spleen

Not Required Procedures:

  • Pediatric
  • Thyroid
  • Pulmonary
  • C-Section

Preferred Procedures:

  • Endoscopy
  • liver (biopsy, control of bleeding, does not require major liver resection skills)

Job Responsibilities

Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
• Locums will not be responsible for supervising other providers.
• Dedicated ICU team, Locum not required to manage vent/pressors.

Qualifications

• Board Certification – General Surgery. Board Eligible acceptable only if within 3-5 years of Residency. - REQUIRED
• State License – WA License - REQUIRED (Will review IMLC at this time)
• Other Certifications – BLS, DEA - REQUIRED
• Malpractice – Clean - Preferred
• Availability- Specific availability must be presented or provider will not be cleared (black out dates, specific availability)- REQUIRED
