This health system in West Georgia is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care General Surgeon to join our hospital employed Surgical Group consisting of 6 board certified general surgeons and 4 full-time APPs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Will provide coverage to primarily inpatient & emergency department consults at the Carrollton facility, a 181 bed (and growing) acute care hospital located in Carrollton, GA, and Villa Rica facility, a 53 bed (and growing) acute care hospital located in Villa Rica, GA
• Receives ED calls, transfers, and referrals from Tanner’s critical access hospitals, Higgins General Hospital in Bremen, GA, and Tanner East Alabama in Wedowee, AL.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday; 7a – 5p

• No weeknight call coverage responsibilities, and weekend call coverage obligations will be evenly split with your general surgery physician colleagues.

Job Eligibility Requirements

Education:

• D. or D.O. degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Unrestricted Georgia physician license, or able to obtain
• Residency trained in General Surgery;Board certified or eligible in General Surgery
• Proven competency to perform a full spectrum of routine general surgery procedures and acute care surgery
