General Surgery - Hernia/Abdominal Core opening in CT
Located in Hartford, Connecticut
Full-Time & Permanent
Seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon with Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship training and an interest in complex Hernia & Abdominal Core Health.
- Experience with open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques in hernia repair.
- Experience with the DaVinci Robot
- Eagerness to engage in significant teaching opportunities
- Join an established, high volume practice with mentorship and support from fellowship trained surgeons
- Focus on complex hernia care and abdominal wall reconstruction, MIS foregut surgery and general surgery cases. No trauma or breast coverage.
- Access to six robotic platforms
- Operate at a single hospital
- Reasonable emergency general surgery call schedule where a mature and active acute care surgery division provides most call coverage
- Support team includes four Advanced Practice Providers and dedicated nursing support
- Multidisciplinary collaboration with bariatrics, colorectal and plastic surgery
