Position:
• Well-established General Surgery practice, located at an award-winning, independent hospital
• Picturesque riverfront community just outside of Evansville, IN and only 2 hours from both St. Louis MO and Louisville KY
• Recruitment is due to upcoming retirement
• Bread and butter General Surgery with scopes - nicely varied/balanced case mix
• Working out of 2 ORs at a time (i.e., utilizing swing rooms) is the norm here
• 1:1 dedicated APP support
• Highly competent OR team - experienced OR director, well-tenured techs & nurses
• Minimal call, 1:4. Taken primarily by phone as hospital does not have trauma designation. Generous 1 hour return-to-facility
• Epic EMR
• The best of both worlds: all the autonomy and flexibility you could want, as well as built-in opportunities for collaboration with 15+ other General Surgeons (regional peers, not competitors)
