Telemedicine Specialist Consults: Virtual, Remote, from any location in the United States.

Specialist Telemed (STeM) has an exciting opportunity for a BC/BE, General Surgeon, to provide virtual consults to patient’s bedside in hospitals, ED/IP, and outpatient settings. We are seeking physicians who are committed to making a difference in healthcare by providing telemedicine specialist consultations to healthcare systems and the patients that need them most. Our physician team consists of board-certified and board-eligible specialists in more than twenty-four medical and surgical subspecialities, nationwide. STeM empowers you to provide an excellent standard of care to patients via Telemedicine, allowing you to create a better work/life balance.

  • Flexible schedule (day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts).
  • Specialty call shift (12 or 24 hours) covering hospitals, ERs, and other facilities.
  • Outpatient daytime clinic coverage (4-8 hourly blocks) in your medical specialty.
  • Technology protocol, workflow, and EMR training provided.
  • Assistance with state licensing, IMLC, and hospital credentialing.
  • STeM will cover the cost of approved additional state licenses.
  • Malpractice Insurance provided.
  • 1099 Physician.

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree (MD/DO).
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible.
  • Active medical state licenses in good standing.
  • IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensing Compact) (plus, not required).
  • DEA license(s), if applicable.
  • Experience using technology to deliver patient care, virtually.
  • A willingness to learn new or streamlined EMR tools.
  • Provide excellent bedside manner and communication skills virtual/remotely.
  • Must have a secure work environment, free from external noise.
  • Must have reliable internet connection.
  • Must possess a desktop computer, laptop, cell phone and/or tablet to conduct video visits (can be provided).
