A new locum is available for IN licensed Physician Assistant Surgery - General for an ongoing need in Indianapolis, IN.
PA as of January 23rd, needed for IN and clinic coverage for patient care; our 3rd PA is expecting with due date first of June.
Specialty - Bariatrics, Gen surg (GI PAs would be great, since familiar with general gut surgeries)
Dates needed - January 23 - May 30th (possibly reduced need during maternity leave, depending on timeline for backfilling positions)
Practice Setting- Inpatient/Outpatient/Telehealth- Both
Admissions Required- InPatient
Provider need to be Board Certified
Temp Privileges are Available
Required Active License for IN
Coverage Type- Clinic and Call
Patients will Locum see per day - 5 ish in OR, 20 on clinic day
Avg patients they round on - 8
Patients per shift - dependent on OR day or clinic day
How many calls do they get while on call?- varies
Call Details- assigned/unassigned patients or both- unassigned patients - triage primarily, notify surgeon if needed to come in
Call typer- Inhouse, beeper, 2nd call/backup
Average call # per 24Hr- Phone Consults, patients seen, admissions
Rounding Hours - 0-2
EMR system - Epic
Support Staff RN's, MA's, PA/NP's, Office/Staff all during business hours
Surgeries or Procedures - Sleeve, Roux, General Surgery (appy, choly, hernia)
Resident or teaching supervision not required
Need surgical experience - first assist in OR. Bariatric specific experienced preferred
Estimated credentialing timeframe 30 days
Insurance provided by Community Health Network
