Mercy Health is seeking an exceptional Board-Certified Colorectal Surgeon to join our distinguished General Surgery Practice in Toledo. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing a new colorectal subspecialty service line in a growing and collaborative environment. You will have the chance to shape the future of colorectal care in the Toledo market, providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in need. As a Fellowship-Trained Colorectal Surgeon, you’ll work closely with oncology and other surgical specialties, building a practice that emphasizes teamwork and multidisciplinary care.
Job Responsibilities
Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including oncology, general surgery, and other surgical specialties to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Teaching & Mentorship: Contribute to the General Surgery Residency Program by teaching and mentoring residents, fostering the development of future surgeons.
Continuity of Care: Coordinate follow-up care with oncology and other specialties, ensuring the evolving needs of patients are met.
Colorectal Services: Offer a wide range of colorectal services, utilizing cutting-edge technology and a robust support system to deliver the highest level of care.
Qualifications
Board Certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery is highly preferred.
Passionate about providing comprehensive care and building a specialized colorectal service.
Experience or interest in teaching and mentoring within a residency program.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Commitment to providing patient-centered care with a focus on excellent outcomes.
Working Hours
Opportunity to focus on initial consultations, surgical planning, surgery, follow-up visits, and interpretation of results.
