An independent community-based academic medical center and health system has an opening for a Colorectal Surgeon Director in southwest Connecticut.


About the Opportunity:

  • Lead a team of two colorectal surgeons and help build the program
  • There may be potential for a clinical appointment
  • Resident and medical student teaching
  • The Colorectal Director will report directly to the Chair of Surgery
  • Our ideal candidate has 8?10 years of experience post-fellowship and experience in developing a program
  • We require Fellowship training and significant experience in robotics and inflammatory bowel diseases
  • Offices are located in our Medical Office Building attached to our main hospital, as well as 3 community sites
  • The Director will rotate 1 day a week to one of our secondary office locations

Who we are seeking:

  • At least 5 years of leadership in a hospital based role
  • Experience robotics and inflammatory bowel disease
  • Teaching experience
  • Experience growing and leading a team
  • Experience increasing referrals

About the compensation:

  • 50% MGMA percentile
  • Salary based on years of experience
