Located in the beautiful capital city of West Virginia, the Charleston Area Medical Center Institute for Academic Medicine is seeking to a Colorectal Surgeon for a full-time academic position in the Department of Surgery.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide clinical colorectal surgery services in our academic healthcare institution and provide educational opportunities for medical students and residents. Scholarly activities are highly encouraged.
The candidate will be a member of the general surgery division and participate in a thriving clinical practice in an academic setting, treating a broad spectrum of diseases including anorectal pathologies, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, pelvic floor disorders and cancers of the colon, rectum and anus.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited US or non-US program
• Successful completion of an accredited General Surgery residency with additional fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery.
• Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and The American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
• Willingness of participate in educational, clinical research, and/or other scholarly activities.
• Possess a dynamic, goal-oriented team player attitude.
• Eligible for a WV Medical License

Skills

Minimally invasive and robotic experience is preferred, and multiple robotic platforms are available for use.
