Hi there! This is Jason from ProTouch Medical.

We are in search of a Locum Cardiac/Cardiovascular Surgeon for long-term, full-time coverage Eastern New York State. The region is located just North of Albany.

The ideal Provider will be Board Certified & fellowship-trained in Cardiovascular Surgery. A New York medical license is required.


This Client offers competitive compensation for the right candidate.
ProTouch covers all travel expenses & malpractice with tail coverage.

Location: Eastern New York State.

Job Type: Locum / Contract

Duration of Assignment: ASAP - Ongoing

Shifts: Schedule: Mon-Fri (days) 7am-3pm (8 hour day)

Practice Details:

  • Practice Setting: The Cardiac Surgeon locum would also have outpatient scheduled patients. Clinic is located on Ellis Medicine hospital campus.
  • Call Schedule: 1 week on 1 week off (in house overnight surgical PA support)
  • Call Ratio: 1:2 (2 surgeons rotate weeks)
  • Average Number of Cases Per Day: 1
  • Number of Operating Rooms: 2 and 1 hybrid room
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Description of Ancillary Staff: 8 Full-time surgical PAs, office RNs and MAs, surgical coordinator, front end support
  • Patient Age Demographic: Adults only

Requirements:

  • Board Certified
  • Fellowship Training
  • NY License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS
