Cardiovascular Surgery Job Opportunity in Dothan, AL Less than 100 miles to the Emerald Coast beaches of Florida Full time, permanent opening Distance to Hospital: Centrally located within a 75-mile service radius, easily accessible Job Description Southeast Health in Dothan, AL, is seeking an additional Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our well-established, hospital-employed practice. Our medical center has the largest market share of cardiovascular services across a 13-county region and ranks in the top 10% nationally for patient safety in heart attack, interventional coronary, and vascular care. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery, including CABG, minimally invasive lung and valve surgery, and comprehensive structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, etc.). Collaborate with a team of 2 board-certified surgeons and 2 physician assistants, sharing call at a ratio of 1:3. Lead and support a team of autonomous PAs who assist in the OR, perform vein harvesting, facilitate rounds, and see patients in the post-operative clinic. Utilize state-of-the-art facilities, including 28 ORs with endovascular and open-heart suites and a daVinci robotic surgical system. Work within the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute, a multidisciplinary clinic shared with interventional/EP cardiology and vascular surgery. Maintain a strong referral base from cardiology and primary care sources. Job Qualifications Board certification in Cardiovascular Surgery. Active and unrestricted medical license in Alabama or eligibility for licensure. Strong surgical skills and experience with the full spectrum of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
