Director of Heart Transplantation opening in CT

Facility has an opportunity for a E Cardiac Surgeon to be the Director of Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Assist Devices. The candidate will join a busy team of collegial and highly trained staff in Hartford, Connecticut. Experience in Heart Transplantation is required.
Facility has achieved a perfect three-star rating from the Society for Thoracic Surgeons, recognizing the best clinical outcomes in cardiac care, including:
- Aortic valve replacement
- Coronary artery bypass grafting
- Mitral valve replacement and repair
- Combined mitral valve replacement/repair and coronary artery bypass grafting
- Combined aortic valve replacement/repair and coronary artery bypass grafting
Position Highlights:
- Heart Failure Program: Well-established with services including transplant, VADs, and ECMO.
- Valve Surgery Program: Strong, high-volume program offering aortic replacement, TAVR, mitral repair and replacement, and minimally invasive mitral and aortic surgery.
- State-of-the-Art Facilities: 40 operating rooms (4 dedicated to cardiac surgery), 2 hybrid rooms, 5 robotic systems, 1 Mazor Robo room (Neuro), and 15 minimally invasive ORs.
