- Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible cardiothoracic surgeon
- 24 Hour Shifts
- Weekend, vacation, and holiday needs
- Rounding on consults and surgical cases
- Cases typically start around 7/7:30am. Day generally ends at 5 pending case load and acuity of post-ops, etc. Day consists of surgery, IP consults, CVICU rounding on post-ops., etc.
- 30-minute response radius and can be taken from local hotel downtown
- APP support 7am-6pm then switches to cardiac surgeon from 6pm-7am next day
- We do not plan to have any outpatient clinic patients seen by a locum. Would primarily be on-call and surgical/inpatient coverage.
- For weekends APP and doc usually round together in the mornings. Lighter load in terms of surgical volume, unless it’s urgent
- Typical cases seen include the following:
- CABG
- AVR
- MVR
- ECMO
- Single Chamber Pacers
- Thoracic
- ACLS, BLS required
- EMR: EPIC and Powerchart
