Academic Heart Transplant Surgeon - Cardiothoracic Surgery
Opportunity to join rapidly growing Lung Transplant Program at Assistant / Associate / Professor level with Leadership Potential
* Additional high level skills in cardiac surgery are supported
* Involvement in resident and medical school student education as well as strong research background is encouraged
* Excellent starting salary plus bonus with strong benefits package
* Strong surgical support group including 15-member APP team
* Closed dedicated CTICU
* Ex Vivo Perfusion device for DCD donors
* Commitment to multidisciplinary team-based care
Tampa General Hospital is now ranked #1 in the nation for transplants, completing 889 transplants between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2024. Tampa General Hospital and the Transplant Institute set a new national record for transplant procedures in one year. Since its first solid organ transplant in 1974, Tampa General Hospital has performed over 14,000 transplants, and in the last six years alone, we have more than doubled our annual volume
The compensation package for this position includes an excellent base salary along with a bonus structure.
