This regional medical center in Valdosta, GA is seeking an energetic, newly-trained, team-oriented, board certified/board eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon. Presently, we have two Cardiothoracic Surgeons providing best in class quality healthcare to our community.

The Medical Center is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. It operates four hospitals across Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties. The system also operates ambulance services, an extensive medical office network, a cancer center, hospice facility, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers and urgent cares. Service lines of regional prominence include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women and infants.

Position Description:

  • Full-time, permanent, hospital employed position
  • Salary guarantee period and excellent earning potential based on productivity
  • Cardiothoracic Clinic is located on hospital’s main campus in Valdosta, GA
  • The group runs structural heart program (TAVR, TMVR & Mitra Clip), and aortic surveillance clinics
  • Call is 1:3
  • 2 Dedicated Heart ORs with Dedicated Heart OR Team
  • 1 Endovascular Hybrid Suite
  • Dedicated APPs
  • Excellent referral pattern with cardiology groups

Qualifications:

  • Board eligible/certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia
  • Experience with the EPIC is a plus.
