Hoskinson Health and Wellness Clinic is looking for a 1099 Remote Sleep Medicine Physician to read our sleep studies and consult patients!

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Sleep Medicine Doctor to provide telemedicine consultations, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sleep medicine and experience in managing a wide range of sleep-related conditions, including insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and narcolepsy, among others. This position allows for flexible hours and the ability to work from any location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Consultations:
    • Conduct virtual consultations with patients to evaluate their sleep health.
    • Review patient history, symptoms, and previous sleep studies to assess conditions.
    • Order and interpret sleep studies (e.g., polysomnography, home sleep tests) as necessary.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment:
    • Diagnose various sleep disorders based on patient consultations and diagnostic tests.
    • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, which may include behavioral therapy, medication management, and recommendations for CPAP or other sleep-related devices.
    • Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and follow-up assessments.
  • Patient Education:
    • Educate patients and their families about sleep hygiene, the importance of treatment adherence, and lifestyle changes to improve sleep quality.
    • Provide guidance on the use of sleep devices and techniques to manage sleep disorders.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
    • Communicate effectively with patients through a secure telemedicine platform, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) for each patient encounter.
    • Ensure compliance with telemedicine regulations and patient confidentiality laws (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Continuous Education:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in sleep medicine and telemedicine practices.
    • Participate in regular training sessions, webinars, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
    • Board certification in Sleep Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in sleep medicine.
    • Experience in telemedicine or remote patient care is preferred.
  • Licensure:
    • Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state(s) where patients will be treated.
    • DEA license for prescribing controlled substances, if applicable.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in telemedicine technology and EMR systems.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
