Facility in Pittsfield, MA seeking Rheumatology locums coverage

Rates: $250/hr

Job Details

• Coverage Need: 1 week per month (Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM)

• Practice Setting: Outpatient office-clinic with occasional hospital consults

• Average Consults per Day: 1 hospital consult every 1–2 weeks

• Average Outpatient Volume: 12 patients/day

• EMR System: Meditech Expanse

• Number of Exam Rooms: 7

• Current Rheumatology Team:

  • 2 MDs & 1 PA

  • Support Staff: 4 MAs, 1 LPN, 2 receptionists

• Patient Demographics: Adult only

• Case Mix: 100% Arthritis, Autoimmune, Chronic Fatigue, Internal Medicine

Requirements

• Board Certification – REQUIRED (ABIM, ACR)

• State License – Highly Preferred (will consider candidates needing to obtain a MA license)

• Fellowship Training – NOT REQUIRED

• Certifications – REQUIRED: ACLS & BLS

• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 3 months

• Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • 10-panel drug screen (within 30 days of start)

  • Pre-employment physical (within 60 days of start)

Procedures & Infusion Therapy Requirements

Required Procedures:

• Joint Aspirations

• Joint Injections (Hyalgan & Corticosteroids)

Infusion Therapies for the Following Conditions:

• Lupus & Vasculitis: IV Corticosteroids, Benlysta

• Ankylosing Spondylitis: Remicade

• Osteoporosis: Boniva, Reclast, Prolia

• Psoriatic Arthritis: Remicade, Cimzia

• Rheumatoid Arthritis: Remicade, Orencia, Rituxan, Actemra, Simponi Aria
