A multi-specialty practice in Orange County is currently seeking a Rheumatologist for a promising opportunity with their growing team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (No call)
  • Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week)
  • Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities:

The Rheumatologist will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing various endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism), adrenal disorders (Cushing's syndrome, Addison's disease), pituitary disorders, metabolic disorders, and more
  • Developing treatment
  • Review patient's history and perform physical examination
  • Evaluate, diagnose and provide appropriate treatment and patient care
  • Recommend and order lab tests including X-rays of the joints to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
  • Diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system
  • Diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles and joints
  • Treat patients with rheumatic diseases including, but not limited to lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, and osteoporosis
  • Prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications
  • Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans
  • Refer to occupational or physical therapy as required.
  • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings

Qualifications:

  • Current unrestricted NYS medical license
  • BE/BC in Rheumatology (MD/DO)
