Charleston Area Medical Center Institute for Academic Medicine is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Rheumatologist to join its expanding Rheumatology Division. This is a full-time position that involves a balance of patient care, research, and teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art medical facility and contribute to Charleston Area Medical Center’s academic mission in collaboration with the Department of Internal Medicine Department.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic conditions.
• Educate and mentor medical students and residents
• Participate in academic research and contribute to scholarly publications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental conferences.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified/board-eligible in Rheumatology.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in the state of West Virginia.
• Strong commitment to clinical education, research, and mentorship.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
