Locums – San Mateo, California, Rheumatology Opening
Clinical Role:

- Start Date: 01/08/2025
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift Details: (2) 4-hours shifts per week Schedule: Monday and Tuesday morning 8a-12p; POSSIBLE call on Monday nights but rare and not required
- Support staff: Heavy nursing support
- Amount of coverage needed per month: (2) 4-hours shifts per week
- Patients per day: will start with 6 patients, and it will increase to 12 once the patients are no longer “new” to the locum provider
- Patient population/age: Adult
- Department description: Rheumatology
- EMR: EPIC
- Hospital bed size: 448
- Skills required: acute and chronic disease management, joint injections, consultation requests, check on meds, stabilize and transition back to primary care physician
- Practice Setting: Hospital
- Board Certification or Board Eligible (within 5 years of training) in Rheumatology
- DEA
- Minimum experience required: 1 – 2 years preferred
- Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
