Role Description

Rheumatology is a medical specialty focused on diagnosing and treating disorders of the joints, muscles, and connective tissues. Rheumatologists are experts in conditions such as arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, and osteoporosis, among others. They employ a variety of diagnostic tests and treatments, including medications, physical therapy, and lifestyle interventions, to manage these complex and often chronic conditions. Collaboration with other specialists, such as orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists, is common in providing comprehensive care to patients with rheumatologic disorders.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
Valid medical license to practice in Wyoming or eligibility to obtain one.
Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Rheumatology.
Experience or interest in teaching medical students, residents, or fellows may be preferred for academic medical centers or teaching hospitals.
