Academic Rheumatology

The University of Missouri School of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, board-certified, or board-eligible Rheumatologist to join our growing rheumatology team as an Assistant or Associate Professor.

Divisional faculty are responsible for the continued development and growth of clinical services and clinical teaching activities (medical students, residents, and rheumatology fellows) in the division.

We have a busy University clinic that cares for patients with a variety of rheumatic diseases and also clinics at the Harry S. Truman VA hospital which is just across the street. Outreach clinics (within 40 minutes) are also available. We have 3 rheumatology fellows and an experienced Nurse Practitioner. Shared space with Pulmonary Medicine and Nephrology allows for close collaboration and there is a monthly joint Dermatology-Rheumatology clinic.

New faculty would find opportunities in setting up Rheumatology-Pulmonary clinics and Rheumatology-Ophthalmology clinics and in developing a musculoskeletal ultrasound curriculum (funds for courses and to purchase a new US machine are available.)

  • MD/DO

  • BC/BE in Rheumatology

  • For the purposes of this application, board-certified/board-eligible are considered experienced.
