Teaching in Boston
This exceptional, not-for-profit, 400+ bed academic medical center in downtown Boston is seeking a couple of Radiologists. The department is comprised of 20 Staff Radiologists and has a 22-person diagnostic radiology residency so a strong interest in teaching is a must.
Section Chief of MRI. The MRI Section encompasses the full range of basic and advanced imaging services for the chest and abdomen, including 1.5 and 3T MRI, and is growing to support a Lung Cancer Center. As Section Chief, you will work under the Chief of Thoraco-Abdominal Imaging (TAI) to coordinate clinical coverage; develop, maintain and optimize imaging protocols and procedures; work with MRI staff and technologists to promote and monitor safe and efficient imaging. The MRI Section Chief will participate in specification of, and selection of MRI equipment as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in Abdominal or Body Imaging with specialization in Body MRI, and will have established a track record of scholarship and teaching and demonstrated leadership potential. Participation in resident education via teaching conferences, case conferences and workstation teaching is an integral part of the job. Salary offer is commensurate with experience.
Cardiac/Chest - Salary offer is 300-340k depending on experience plus productivity bonus. Possible sign on bonus up to 20k for the right candidate. Full benefits including 5 to 6 weeks’ vacation and 10 days CME with 5k CME stipend. Generous 401a retirement with 10% contribution of base pay, relocation, health, malpractice etc.
