New Jersey/Philadelphia area seeks a Neurorad

Premier practice of 12 is in need of a fellowship trained Neuroradiologist. Incumbent would share all neuroradiology with one existing Neuroradiologist. The ability to read mammo and perform basic procedures is a plus but not required. The group is currently covering 3 hospitals and 2 imaging centers in the greater Philadelphia area, all within approximately 30 to 40 minutes of one another. The group staffs a stroke center and Neurosurgery hospital that is very busy. The neuro cases run the full gamut and are basically the same as what would be encountered at an academic institution. The general cases are like what would be seen in any community; however, they staff a transplant center so there is a large volume of cirrhosis and kidney disease. New hire would be on the neuro rotation and the candidate’s rotation would be heavily based on cross sectional imaging. The candidate would do the neuro rotation which is practically all CT and MRI, and they would also have some general cross-sectional imaging, plain film, and ultrasound. The weekday schedule is 8-5 PM so a 9-hour workday. The weekend call is Q4 (1 out of every 4 weekends), 8 AM- 3 PM on Saturday and 8 AM- 1 PM on Sunday the weeknight call is 5 PM- 8 PM, 2 nights per month. There is 1 Friday night call every 8 weeks that is 5-7 PM. All radiologists take imaging call from a home workstation that will be provided to the candidate. The imaging call is very manageable. If the candidate prefers a 3-day work week, the Group could consider a part time position. Salary offer is 400k + with partnership track. Benefits include 8 weeks’ vacation to start, health insurance for physician and family, malpractice insurance (occurrence)and 401k with Employer contributions after 1 year.
