Radiologist Opportunity in San Antonio, Texas Location: San Antonio, TX Position Details: Employment Type: Full-Time Position Type: Permanent Practice Type: Diagnostic Radiology Experience: 5 years+ Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee radiology staff, maintain clinical competencies, and ensure adherence to quality standards Job Description: Seeking a Board-Certified Radiologist to join a dynamic team in San Antonio, Texas. The Radiologist will diagnose and interpret imaging studies while collaborating with medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities: Obtain patient histories from electronic records, interviews, and communication with referring clinicians Prepare comprehensive interpretive reports of diagnostic imaging findings Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and PET scans Communicate examination results and diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, and families Evaluate medical information to determine risk factors and appropriateness of procedures Provide patient counseling regarding imaging procedures, risks, benefits, and alternative treatments Coordinate radiological services with other medical activities Ensure compliance with quality control standards and safety protocols for radiation and infection control Serve as a teleradiologist for satellite facilities without on-site radiologists Act as Radiology Medical Director for site accreditations (ACR and IAC) Participate in continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities Qualifications: Completion of medical school, medical internship, and radiology residency at an accredited institution Minimum of five years of experience as a Radiologist in a clinical setting Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and radiology imaging software Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and medical professionals Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary with productivity incentives Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan options Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance Malpractice insurance coverage Relocation assistance, if applicable About the Area: San Antonio, Texas, is a thriving metropolitan city with a rich cultural heritage, excellent dining and entertainment options, and affordable living.
