Foundation Physicians Medical Group (FPMG), a multi-specialty medical group aligned with Dignity Health, is seeking a Medical Director in Radiology to live/work in sunny California! Qualified applicants can live anywhere in California to be considered!
This position is 25% administrative and 75% clinical. It is responsible for fostering a collaborative environment among providers, staff, and leadership, ensuring the delivery of top-tier radiology services that align with the organization's goals and values. This role will contribute significantly to developing radiology programs, and leading initiatives that enhance clinical quality, operational performance, and patient and provider satisfaction within the California market.
Essential functions include:
- Provide leadership and mentoring to regional radiology physicians, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork. Support professional development and clinical leadership growth among regional radiology teams.
- Identifying strategic expansion opportunities to align regional radiology services with broader organizational goals.
- Develop and implement best clinical practices. Ensure compliance with established quality and safety standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Guide the adoption and implementation of new technologies and systems, such as PACS, Radiology Information Systems, and AI tools, to improve diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency.
- Work closely with system and regional leaders and external stakeholders to promote the radiology service line and contribute to the organization's mission of delivering high-quality care.

- Medical Director stipend
- Highly competitive compensation ($500-$600k) with signing bonus and moving allowance

Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Diagnose and treat medical conditions; develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams; foster a collaborative approach.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in quality assurance initiatives and analyze clinical outcomes for improvement.
- Compliance: Adhere to ethical standards and stay informed about healthcare regulations.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on medical advancements and participate in ongoing education and training.
Qualifications
- US Board Certification in Radiology
- 5 years clinical experience
- 2 or more years progressive leadership role in a Radiology program
- Must reside in CA
- A valid and unrestricted California medical license
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
Pay Range
$240.38 - $288.46 /hour
