The Department of Radiology and Radiologic Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is expanding! We are seeking a full-time emergency radiologist to join our Emergency Radiology section, which comprises of board-certified radiologists with varying fellowship specializations, including neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, abdominal radiology and musculoskeletal radiology. Our team of emergency radiologists provide evening and overnight coverage to the VUMC and Vanderbilt Children’s Emergency Departments, including a Level I Trauma Center, as part of a 7 days on, 14 days off coverage model

Job Responsibilities

· Services are provided at the Emergency Departments at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, including a Level 1 trauma center and Children’s Hospital.
· Section comprised of 10 fellowship-trained faculty
· Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
· Opportunity to develop and grow professional interests
· Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience
· Average commute is 20-30 minutes

Qualifications

· Fellowship training Neuroradiology, Emergency Radiology, Body Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging or Pediatric Radiology preferred
· Hold an MD or equivalent degree
· ABR eligible/certified
· Eligible for TN license
· Comfortable in interpretation of Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis, and Neuroradiology emergency room related studies at a Level 1 trauma center
· Participation in multidisciplinary conferences and education of trainees and medical students
