The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) seeks a radiologist to join our team of 14 physicians at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. As a 182-bed Level II Trauma Center, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the state. With over 30 specialties, we provide a full complement of acute medical and primary care services. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday – 8-hour shifts. General comprehensive diagnostic radiology.

Qualifications: Completion of an ACGME/AOA approved residency in Radiology; BE/BC in Radiology; collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.

Job Responsibilities

All physicians perform general diagnostic radiology including: Radiography; MRI; CT; Ultrasound; Fluoroscopy – upper GIs, barium series, barium enemas, barium swallows; Mammography – not required but preferred. Non-Vascular/lite-interventional biopsy and drainage procedures are performed, including: ultrasound guided biopsies and drainage of neck, breast, chest and abdomen; CT guided biopsies and drainage procedures chest and abdomen; bone and disc space biopsies and aspirations; myelograms, joint injections.

Must be capable of reading all above tests, but not necessarily Mammography – highly regulated and need to meet FDA regulations to be accredited.

Skills

General comprehensive diagnostic radiology – see modalities listed above; additional fellowship training is desirable but not required – i.e. Musculoskeletal. Mammography skills are preferred, but not required.

Lite interventional biopsies, drainage procedures; fluoroscopy procedures; abscess drainage; thoracentesis; paracentesis.
