Job Description: Radiologist (Locum Tenens)

Location: Williston, ND

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (5 consecutive days)

Facility: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital

Job Overview:

Seeking a Radiology Locum Physician for long-term coverage, to provide services one week per month. This role will focus on performing minor procedures and reading diagnostic imaging studies, including diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsies, barium enemas, and various other interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform onsite radiology procedures one week per month (5 consecutive days).
  • Read diagnostic images, including but not limited to:
    • Diagnostic mammograms
    • Breast biopsies
    • Barium enema, small bowel follow-through, upper GI
    • Epidural steroid injections, abscess drainage
    • Medicare overreads for CT, MRI, X-rays, mammograms, DEXA scans
  • Conduct minor interventional procedures including:
    • Breast localization for OR (Magseed/Magtrace)
    • Breast cyst aspirations
    • Stereotactic breast biopsies
    • Arthrograms, joint aspirations, and joint injections
    • CT cystograms, PICC line placements, lumbar punctures
    • Hysterosalpingograms
    • Bone marrow biopsies
    • Ultrasound biopsies of lymph nodes, muscle, kidney, thyroid
    • Abscess drainage
    • ESI, SI injections, facet injections
  • Provide coverage for radiology procedures and imaging reads as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with other medical providers as needed.
  • Perform 5-10 procedures per day, depending on complexity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Radiology.
  • Strong experience with diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Ability to perform various interventional procedures, as listed above.
  • Medicare overreads: Ability to read CT, MRI, X-ray, mammogram, and DEXA scans.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn breast localization techniques (Magseed/Magtrace).
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
  • Must have an active or pending North Dakota medical license
