Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Radiation Oncologist to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VAMC Memphis VA Medical Center located at 1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104, or at the same radiation oncology department located on the same campus at 116 N Pauline, Memphis, TN 38105. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm with call. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available.

Responsibilities
  • Perform weekly examination of the patient under radiation therapy by attending physician.
  • Prior to beginning radiation treatment, physician shall instruct the patient and care givers on the risks involved including symptom management and symptoms requiring immediate intervention.
  • Shall evaluate each patient for treatment management at a minimum of once per five treatments.
  • Treatment management evaluations, addressing tumor response and side effects of therapy and medications prescribed, include pertinent laboratory and imaging studies.
  • Shall provide the patient with written guidelines regarding their rights and responsibilities.
  • Shall monitor all therapy for side effects or complications; prescribe dose changes as needed; and review all cases at physician conference.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified in Radiology.
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience excluding clinical experience
  • Maintain an active AHA BLS and ACLs certification
  • NPI report printout
  • Active DEA license
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
