J Edward Staffing is seeking a highly qualified Interventional Radiologist to provide specialized services at a military hospital system on an "as needed" or PRN basis. This contract role will have a duration of 5 years and will cover on-call, after-hours, and leave coverage for the radiology department. The position is for a 1.0 FTE equivalency of 80 hours during a two-week period, though it will not adhere to the VA Full Time Equivalency method. The selected candidate will provide critical care for veterans within a highly respected healthcare system.

Job Responsibilities

Provide interventional radiology services, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Perform minimally invasive procedures guided by imaging technologies to treat a range of conditions, including vascular diseases, cancers, and other medical disorders.
Interpret and review imaging studies such as MRI, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures.
Be available for on-call and after-hours services as part of the contract's PRN coverage.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Maintain accurate records of procedures and ensure compliance with hospital and VA regulations.

Qualifications

Board Certification in Interventional Radiology by the American College of Radiology.
Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in interventional radiology.
Experience in a VA or military healthcare system is a plus but not required.
Must have excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Must be able to work independently during on-call and after-hours services.
Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a federal background check.

Working Hours

Tour of Duty (As Needed):
-Monday – Friday, Day Tour of Duty, as needed (PRN).
-After hours on-call, weekends and government holidays.
