GEISINGER RADIOLOGY TEAM IS EXPANDING
in All Areas of Radiology: Specialized or Diagnostic: Remote or Onsite

We continue to grow in all areas of Radiology to include Emergency Radiology, IR, breast imaging, pediatric radiology, MSK and CT/Abd/Body imaging, diagnostic radiology and mixed practice type (onsite, teleradiology, hybrid).

EMERGENCY RADIOLOGY: SHIFTS AVAILABLE

  • 10am to 8pm/7 on 7 off
  • 3pm to 1am/8 Days On, 12 Days Off
  • BE/BC Radiologist; no specialty training required although Neuro, Body, MSK or ED fellowship training would be beneficial
  • Must be comfortable with all modalities including body and neuro
  • Provides diagnostic imaging for our system’s emergency departments and inpatient sites including Level 1 Trauma Center in Danville, Pennsylvania and Level 2 Trauma Centers in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
  • Imaging spans all organ systems and modalities including CT, ultrasound, radiography and MRI
  • At-home workstations provided

INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

  • Practice 100% interventional radiology
  • Join a dynamic team of talented physicians, nurses, technologists, and advanced practice providers
  • Large call group of 1/6, overall Radiology team of 80+ covering all specialties
  • Assist in teaching/training of resident/IR fellows and medical students
  • Practice full range of interventional procedures with wide mix of pathology
  • Facilities include 3 angiography suites, 1 hybrid CT-fluoroscopy suite, 1 minor procedure room including ultrasound, additional dedicated CT for IR procedures
  • Department houses one of the largest 3D printing/3D imaging labs in the country with opportunities for translational research

BREAST IMAGING RADIOLOGY:

  • Practice 100% breast imaging or choose a mixed practice, no nights or weekend call
  • Team of 15+ breast imaging Radiologists (fellowship trained or experienced)
  • Geisinger is an ACR-accredited Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
  • 3D HD technology screening and diagnostic exams and multi- modality breast intervention (prone stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI guided biopsy) Breast MRI screening & diagnostic evaluations

PEDIATRIC RADIOLOGY: fellowship trained or experienced; occasional onsite required for procedures

  • Join a strong team of three fellowship trained pediatric radiologists
  • Read pediatric plain films, body CT/MRI, fluoroscopy and US
  • Opportunities to teach current radiology residents and medical school students
  • Tertiary care children’s hospital with diverse pathology
  • 1:5 emergent off-hours fluoroscopy call (one week at a time) with post call time off
  • No evenings (after 5 pm), overnight/weekend on-call reading shifts
  • H1b supportive
  • BE/BC Radiologist, fellowship trained in Pediatric Radiology

MSK RADIOLOGY: Onsite or Hybrid: Academic Chief if desired

  • Flexible work schedule to allow you to work from home 1-2 days per week.
  • 80% MSK, 20% Emergency Radiology
  • Work 10 weekend per year/recovery day off during the week
  • No mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology
  • Leadership opportunity to serve as MSK Radiology Academic Chief if desired
  • Teaching opportunity with our Radiology Residents and GCSOM medical school students
  • Continual growth with our Orthopaedic Institute, Orthopaedic residents in Central/NE Regions
  • Research opportunities (if desired)

CT/BODY IMAGING: Onsite or Remote

  • Join a team of 20 radiologists across Geisinger system – Remote and Onsite
  • Imaging services with state-of-the-art equipment and support Including 3T MRI, Tera Racon thin client
  • Dedicated 3D Lab & 3D Printing
  • Practice all aspect of Abdominal Imaging including MR, CT, Ultrasound and GI Fluoroscopic studies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences
  • Unique and diverse workforce with unique experiences and backgrounds

DIAGNOSTIC OR SPECIALTY TRAINED: Geisinger Lewistown

  • Opportunity at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, Geisinger Healthplex State College & 9 other clinics
  • Services: CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography & Breast procedures, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, IR & General x-ray.
  • Geisinger Lewistown Hospital awarded CMS 5-Star rating, primary stroke center and Level IV trauma center
  • Practice at a community teaching hospital with the advantage of a large integrated health system
