Minimum Training: Successful completion of an approved residency training program in Diagnostic Radiology. Board Certification: Diagnostic Radiology – Certification/Recertification
Applicants for initial appointment must be able to demonstrate the performance and interpretation of at least 1000 radiologic tests or procedures, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, during the previous 12 months or demonstrate successful completion of an approved residency, clinical fellowship, or research in a clinical setting within the previous 12 months. Reappointment: Applicants must be able to demonstrate the performance and interpretation of at least 1000 radiologic tests or procedures, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, annually during the reappointment cycle. Continuing medical education relevant to the applicant’s scope of practice is also required.
SPECIAL REQUESTS – DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY If desired, special requests are requested individually in addition to requesting the core. Each individual requesting these privileges must meet the specific threshold criteria governing the exercise of the privilege requested including training, required previous experience and maintenance at reappointment. Applicants credentialed prior to December 2011 may have been approved using different criteria but must meet requirements listed under Required Experience/Reappointment in order to maintain current privileges.
