Job Description

Last Update: 11/05/24

Health System is seeking board-certified or board-eligible full-time Fellowship Trained Cardiothoracic Radiologist to join our group. The practice will include a mix of Thoracic, Cardiac and Body Imaging. There is an equal share of evening and weekend call from day one and no overnight call.

Our growing practice is supported by state-of-the-art scanners and radiology workflow orchestration systems. Cardiac CTs are primarily performed on Siemens Dual Source Flash and Philips 256 slice 7500 Spectral CT scanners, and Cardiac MRIs on Siemens and Philips 1.5T scanners. Our technologists are well versed in thoracic and cardiac imaging. We have a dedicated 3D lab to handle cardiac post processing and this ensures a seamless workflow. We perform approximately 19000 chest and cardiac CT scans and 500 chest and cardiac MRI scans in a year.

Ours is the largest clinical lung cancer screening program in the country and this position will include an opportunity to participate in and lead this program. With a highly structured database of more than 10 years of scans, this provides a mammoth opportunity for both clinical development and research. We are also home to a nationally recognized Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy program.

We work in close collaboration with pulmonologists, cardiologists, thoracic oncologists and cardiothoracic surgeons to provide the highest care to our patients. We participate in weekly and monthly interdisciplinary conferences to this effect. In addition to clinical duties, there is ample opportunity to teach Radiology residents and participate in research.

This highly desirable area offers superb educational opportunities and an abundance of cultural, social, and recreational amenities, making it a truly wonderful location to practice and live in.
