Join a growing Radiology Department of over 50 subspecialized radiologists
Candidates must be Board Certified in Radiology and fellowship-trained in Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK)
Exhibit strong clinical skills to work effectively and efficiently across the full spectrum of imaging modalities/procedures relevant to MSK imaging.
This is an on-site position with participation in interventional procedures including MRI, CT, joint injection/aspiration, bone marrow sampling, and soft tissue/bone biopsy
Practice setting is hospital-based
8000-9000 RVU expectation
5-90% plain film, 10-15% CT/MR
2 Types of Call: Weekday 4pm-11pm call from home (only with no day shifts on those days) about on average once a week. Also, weekend call about 7 calls per year.
Intermittent evening shift and weekend call duties are fulfilled remotely from home with fully functional PACS/Voice recognition systems.
In addition to clinical work, strong interest in clinical and formal resident education is essential.
Average Number of Cases Per Day: Mix plain film and cross sectional. 110 xrays, 20 MRIs/CT/Ultrasound
Trauma Level/Designation: Loyola = Trauma 1, MNH and GMH = Trauma 2
Number of Radiologists in Practice: Specific to MSK is 4.8 FTEs, in department 41 FTE
Teleradiology is not used for MSK
Patient Age Demographic: All ages, but pediatrics not required
There are opportunities for clinical and translational research if interested.
Consideration may be given for appointment as Section Chief for the appropriate candidate.

Credentialing timeline: usually 2-3 months (depends on if physician has IL license in hand or not)
