Coverage Dates: As soon as Credentialed 1-2 Weeks a month This facility is seeking an Interventional Radiology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need Reason for coverage: 1 FTE covering 2 hospitals. They need 1 -2 Radiologist to help with coverage and vacation Support Staff: Radiology Physician assistants help with IR procedures, Reading room assistants, they have a nighthawk service that assists after hours Solo or Team: Team PACs: GE Universal Voice recognition system: PowerScribe 360 Details & requirements for this opportunity: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (including lunch break) Job Setting: Hospital Shift Schedule/hours: 8:00 am-5:00 pm (Including Lunch Break) Weeknight call is overnight carrying a beeper- consists of consults and very rarely do they have to go in. The full-time IR said he gets called in once a month on average. They are open to candidates that do not want to do weekend call. Job requires minimal availably: 1-2 weeks a month Volumes/ Modalities: 50% IR (5-6 procedures per day), 50-60 diagnostic reads (5-10 CT, the rest is x-ray, ultrasound, and general readings). The client can work around any diagnostic studies the candidate is not capable of reading Must be onsite Licensing candidate will be considered Pertinent Information regarding opportunity: They do all reading out of the Dover Location. Must be proficient in all the following procedures: Bone biopsy, neph tube exchange, liver biopsies, angiogram. If a candidate is versed in light IR procedures, they will work around the complex procedures. Facility will consider a General Radiologist that can do light IR.
