Job Description
Last Update:
2/20/25
Onsite Board Certified Interventional Radiologist Needed!
Anticipated End Date: November 1, 2025 (previously February 16, 2025)
Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (previously 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Estimated RVU/Shift: 60 (previously 65)
Number of Weeks Needed: 4
Call Requirement: "IR Call 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM + Dx if rad is willing from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM"
Onsite Board Certified (will consider Board Eligible) IR. Candidate will take part in building a strong IR program that includes oncologic IR, as well as a diverse set of heavy IR procedures however they must initially also be able to read diagnostics while the department is building up. Timeframe can be longer depending how long it takes to hire a F/T rad. Once hired, they will consider using locum for vacation coverage.
There’s about 5-10 IR exams per day currently, making it ~60% Dx, 30% IR. We can try to have site schedule as much IR as possible BUT the rad must understand they need to read Dx- which includes Plain Films, CT, MR, US. If they are not comfortable with every modality, that’s fine we can assign them cases they are comfortable with.
*Weekdays would be M-F, 7A-4P. With weekend IR call from 8-3p AND Dx call if rad is willing from 8a-5p. These two overlap as this hospital doesn’t do your normal 24/7 IR call. Open for discussion. Currently, there is no overnight or evening IR call.
IR fellowship required.
Must be comfortable with high level IR procedures
